Megan Niamh is a self-taught artist from Scotland. Inspired by archaeology and ancient history, Megan Niamh explores our relationship with sacred objects, creating distressed and worn paintings that tell the tale of often small or overlooked artefacts.
Growing up in Aberdeenshire, Megan Niamh became fascinated with archaeology from a young age, surrounded by Pictish forts and ancient stones. Megan Niamh creates playful and free-spirited artworks that reflect her childhood curiosity, with intuitive mark making serving as timelines or years passed.
